Welcome to GFR. These terms explain the deal between you and DocWriteReview, LLC when you use our platform. We wrote them in plain English because you deserve to understand what you are agreeing to.
If any of this is unclear, email info@dwrgrantmgmt.site before you sign up. We would rather explain something twice than have a customer surprised later.
1. Who we are
GFR (Grant Fulfillment and Research) is a grant management platform built by DocWriteReview, LLC, a Washington, DC limited liability company. When these terms say we, us, or our, we mean DocWriteReview, LLC. When they say you, we mean the individual and the organization using GFR.
2. Who can use GFR
GFR is available to any organization or individual with legitimate grant work. That includes nonprofits, for-profit companies, government agencies, educational institutions, fiscal sponsors, and consultants. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
You are responsible for making sure your use of GFR complies with your organization's rules, your funders' rules, and applicable law.
3. Your account
To use GFR you need an account. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your password secure
- Keeping your account information accurate
- Everything that happens under your login
Do not share your login. Each person who uses GFR should have their own account. If you believe your account has been compromised, reset your password immediately and let us know.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use GFR to:
- Submit false or misleading information to funders
- Violate any law, regulation, or funder requirement
- Access another organization's workspace without permission
- Attempt to break, probe, or bypass our security
- Send spam, malware, or harmful code through the platform
- Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the platform itself
- Harass, threaten, or defame any person or organization
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. When possible, we will warn you first.
5. Payment terms
Monthly SaaS plan
The monthly plan is billed in advance for one month at a time. Prices are shown on our pricing page and may change with 30 days notice. You can cancel any time. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current paid billing period. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial months.
15-day money-back guarantee (monthly plan)
If you are not satisfied with GFR within the first 15 days of your first paid month, email info@dwrgrantmgmt.site and we will refund your first month's payment in full. This applies only to your first monthly subscription with us, and only during the first 15 days.
Build-to-own plan
Build-to-own is delivered as a five-step engagement:
- Step 1: Discovery. We review your needs, your existing systems, your design preferences, and the timeline. No payment required at this stage.
- Step 2: Agreement and start of work. You sign the build-to-own agreement and pay one-third of the total price. We begin building your instance.
- Step 3: Review and modifications. You review the initial build. We make agreed-upon modifications. You pay a second one-third.
- Step 4: Final submission and training. We deliver the completed instance and conduct a two-hour walkthrough with your team. You pay the final one-third.
- Step 5: Monthly maintenance. After delivery, you enter into an ongoing monthly maintenance agreement for hosting, updates, support, and security patches. The terms of that agreement are provided in a separate document at delivery.
Because build-to-own is custom work performed to your specifications, payments made at each step are non-refundable once the corresponding step is complete. If we cannot complete a step for reasons on our side, we will refund the payment for that step or the remainder of it.
Late payments
If a payment fails, we will retry and email you. If a payment remains unpaid for more than 15 days, we may suspend access until it is resolved.
6. What we own
DocWriteReview, LLC owns the GFR platform. That includes our code, design, documentation, branding, and improvements we make over time. We are not selling you the platform's underlying software, we are giving you a license to use it under these terms.
Build-to-own is different. Under the build-to-own plan, you receive an instance of the platform configured for your organization, with your data, on hosting we manage. You own your data. You have full export rights. You do not, however, own the underlying platform code or the right to sublicense it. Build-to-own means owning your workspace and your data, not owning the software itself. If you ever leave, we will hand over your data in a portable format.
7. What you own
You own all data you put into GFR: grants, proposals, funders, budgets, documents, and everything else. We do not claim any rights to your content. You give us a limited license only to store, process, and display your data for the sole purpose of providing GFR to you.
8. AI features
GFR includes AI-powered writing and research features, provided by Anthropic's Claude models. AI assistance is meant to accelerate your work, not replace your judgment. You are responsible for reviewing every AI-generated output before submitting it to a funder or using it externally. AI can make mistakes, misremember facts, or produce content that sounds right but is wrong. Verify before you send.
9. Warranty disclaimer
We work hard to keep GFR reliable, secure, and useful. But we cannot promise perfection. GFR is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that:
- The platform will always be available without interruption
- The platform will be free of bugs
- Any grant application you write using GFR will be funded
- AI-generated content will be accurate or appropriate for your funder
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DocWriteReview, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data, arising from your use of GFR. Our total liability to you for any claim related to these terms or the platform will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. If you live in one of those places, the limitations above apply to the fullest extent allowed there.
11. Termination
You may cancel your account any time from your account settings or by emailing us.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, if we are required to by law, or if your payment fails and is not cured within 15 days.
After cancellation, we will retain your data for 30 days in case you change your mind or need an export. After 30 days, we will delete it. If you need us to delete it sooner or hold it longer, tell us and we will work with you.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or with a notice on the platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect. If you keep using GFR after that, you are agreeing to the new terms. If you do not agree, you can cancel your account before the changes take effect.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the District of Columbia, and you and we agree to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
14. Dispute resolution
If you have a problem, please email us first at info@dwrgrantmgmt.site. Most issues can be resolved with a conversation. If we cannot resolve the issue informally within 60 days, either of us may bring a formal claim in the courts described above.
15. Entire agreement
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and DocWriteReview, LLC regarding GFR. They supersede any prior agreements or communications.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
