Why GFR does not build these itself
We get asked: "Can GFR also do donor CRM? Peer-to-peer fundraising? Event ticketing?" The honest answer is: those are different products, well-served by specialists. Building a full donor CRM puts us in head-to-head competition with Neon CRM and Salesforce NPSP — 6-12 months of work to reach feature parity with products that already have thousands of customers. Same for P2P fundraising (Givebutter, Bonterra Classy, NEON Fundraise).
Instead, GFR integrates with the best tools in each category. You get best-of-breed grant management plus best-of-breed donor / fundraising / accounting. Total cost is usually lower than an all-in-one suite, and you are not locked in.
